Essay: Basic work will disappear

A lot of work is not deep craft. It is moving information through a screen without dropping any of it.

Find the vendor. Read the docs. Fill the form. Compare five tools. Make the landing page. Rewrite the email. Pull the numbers. Check whether anyone replied.

This work will not vanish all at once. It will be absorbed task by task, wherever the workflow is mostly language, navigation, and judgment.

People will still decide what matters. But they should not be the ones copying text between boxes. That is not dignity. That is a missing abstraction.
